Winter Driving Tips 101
I enjoy snow the most sitting next to a roaring fire with a great book in hand. Unfortunately, most of us usually need to prepare to drive in wintry conditions and can’t sit by the fire all day sipping hot cocoa. When you are making these preparations you need to be prepared because wintry driving conditions are often times very hazardous. Check out these winter driving tips from AAA Exchange:
1.) Make sure your tires are properly inflated
2.) Keep your gas tank at least half way full to avoid a gas line freeze
3.) Wear your seat belt (all the time J)
4.) If you can, avoid using your parking break
5.) Keep an emergency kit in your car containing water, blankets, important numbers, an extra cell charger and anything else that may come in handy if you were to get stuck on the road.
There are many precautions you can take before getting into the car on a snowy/icy day. As always, take your time and be safe!
